Operational EBITDA more than doubled to €37.4 million from €17.9m in H1 2025. Underlying company EBITDA increased from €1.4 million in H1 2025 to €13.7 million in H1 2026, as Fastned accelerated both station rollout and commercial growth across Europe. Gross profit related to charging grew by 61% year-on-year to €66m, with a 17% increase in gross profit per kWh.

Revenue related to charging increased by 40% year-on-year to €75.1 million. Fastned’s cash position stood at €100.7m at the end of H1 2026.

The reported revenue is negatively influenced by €5 million relating to Dutch e-credits for the first quarter of 2026. Although quantities and price for the e-credits have been contractually agreed, legal title for these unit transfers could not be recognised for IFRS reporting during H1 due to the Dutch government portal being temporarily unavailable (see official announcement here). This is expected to be recognised as revenue in Q3 2026. This one-off situation has no impact on H1 2026 gross profit due to a compensating impact within cost of sales. Fastned opened 28 new stations - a record for the company in the first half of the year - taking its network to 434 operational stations across nine countries as of 30 June 2026. The company also added 60 new locations to its development pipeline. An additional 8 Fastned stations were opened between the end of H1 and the publication date of the Interim Report.

Maturing network sparking sustainable growth

In H1 2026, Fastned delivered 112.3 GWh of renewable energy, an increase of 38% compared with the same period last year. The network supported 4.1 million charging sessions, up 34%, powering an estimated 562.2 million electric kilometres and avoiding 101.9 kilotonnes of CO₂ equivalent.

Gross profit related to charging rose by 61% to €66.0 million, with the related gross margin increasing from 76% in H1 2025 to 88% in H1 2026.

Operational EBITDA reached €37.4 million, compared with €17.9 million in H1 2025, representing growth of 109% and greater than the equivalent figure for the full 12 months of 2025.

Underlying company EBITDA, which includes the costs of expanding the network, increased to €13.7 million, compared with €1.4 million in the first half of 2025.

Fastned’s net loss narrowed to €13.0 million, a 29% decrease from €18.3 million in H1 2025.

Ramping up the rollout across Europe

After passing the milestone of 400 stations in late 2025, Fastned opened 28 new stations during the first half of 2026. This represents a 65% increase in new openings compared with H1 2025: the company’s strongest first half for station openings to date, showing the company’s success in improving its construction pace.

Fastned’s network reached 434 operational stations across the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy and Spain as of 30 June 2026. Including these operational stations, the company’s total portfolio of locations grew to 723 at the end of the reporting period.

Germany was a standout market during H1 2026. Fastned reached its 60-station milestone in the country during the second quarter, with 12 new stations opening in Germany in Q2 alone.

In the United Kingdom, Fastned opened its first station under its joint venture with Places for London, Transport for London’s property company. The large charging hub at Hatton Cross, close to Heathrow Airport, demonstrates Fastned’s ability to bring its product to cities, as well as motorway locations.

Fastned made significant progress in overcoming bottlenecks in the station development process:

• 60 new locations were added to our development pipeline during H1 2026.
• 68 building permits obtained, an increase of 89% compared with H1 2025.
• 36 stations were upgraded or expanded across the network.
• New Country Directors were appointed in France, Switzerland and Denmark to support the next phase of growth.

Growing customer engagement and commercial reach

Fastned’s commercial performance was supported by growth across both private and professional customer segments.

The number of Gold Members doubled from approximately 5,000 to 10,000 during H1 2026. Gold is Fastned’s monthly subscription offering, providing regular users with a 30% discount on charging.

Fastned introduced a physical B2B charge card with more than 36 fleets onboarded to date, and expanded roaming access through third-party platforms and collaborations including ChargeLeague. These developments broaden access to Fastned’s network and support demand from professional and fleet customers alongside private drivers.

Network reliability remained high, with uptime of 99.3% during the period. Reliability remains an essential element of Fastned’s customer proposition and is a key reason drivers return to Fastned’s stations.

Equity, bonds, institutional funding: three pillars for sustainable growth

During H1 2026, Fastned further diversified its funding structure by establishing bank financing as a formal third pillar alongside its Euronext Amsterdam listing and retail bond programme.

In January 2026, Fastned closed a green loan facility of up to €200 million from a syndicate comprising ABN AMRO, Crédit Agricole, ING, Invest-NL and Rabobank. An initial €100 million of committed capital has been allocated to fund station rollout in Belgium and Switzerland over a three-year availability period, with an option for a further €100 million to support expansion in other Fastned markets.This facility provides Fastned with access to institutional debt markets on terms that reflect the growing scale and maturity of its business.

Fastned also completed two retail bond campaigns during the first half of 2026. The first campaign, which closed in March 2026, raised €32.4 million and represented the 20th tranche in the company’s retail bond programme. The second campaign closed on 21 June 2026 and raised €36.5 million, including €35.1 million in new investment, a record amount for a single Fastned bond campaign.

Together, the two campaigns raised approximately €69 million from individual investors in the Netherlands and Belgium. Total outstanding retail bonds reached €337 million, and more than 12,000 bondholders have now invested in Fastned.

Market Outlook

Europe’s shift to electric mobility continued to accelerate in the first half of 2026, despite persistent geopolitical uncertainty. New EU car registrations increased by 5.7% year-on-year, while battery-electric vehicles reached a 20.7% market share, up from 15.6% in H1 2025. Some of Europe’s largest markets recorded particularly strong BEV growth, including France (up 62.9%), Germany, (up 48%), and Denmark (up 41.2%).

In total, over 1.2 million new battery-electric cars were registered across the EU in H1 2026. Across the EU, EFTA and the UK, market share rose from 17.5% in H1 2025 to 22.2% in H1 2026.

In contrast, petrol and diesel vehicles together fell to 29.9% of new registrations, down from 37.8% a year earlier.

Guidance updated: operational EBITDA margin to ~45%

In Fastned’s Q4 2025 Update the company communicated the following guidance for the full year 2026:

• 70-100 new stations operational by year end
• Revenues of €350,000 to €400,000 per station (full-year average), and
• Operational EBITDA margin of 35–40%.

Now, based on these H1 results and the market outlook, Fastned is updating its FY 2026 guidance for operational EBITDA margin. Fastned now expects:

• Operational EBITDA margin of ~45% for FY 2026.

The guidance related to station rollout and average revenues per station remain unchanged. Full-year operational EBITDA will be confirmed in Fastned’s 2026 Annual Report.

As more drivers take to the roads in electric vehicles (EV), Fastned, the EV charging network powered by 100% renewable energy, commissioned research among 2,000 UK drivers, including 1,000 dedicated EV drivers, to explore the nation’s changing attitudes towards summer road trips.

One of the top findings from the survey revealed that 87% of Brits have already travelled, or would consider travelling, to staycation destinations by electric vehicle.

In fact, 90% of EV drivers surveyed (net majority) said they were firmly behind ultra-rapid charging, offered by the likes of Fastned, which could allow most motorists to charge their EV with up to 300 miles of range, in just 20 minutes, helping them reach their countryside and coastal destinations quicker.

With 51 per cent of Brits saying they are more likely to holiday in the UK than they were five years ago, Britain’s great road trips are proving there’s plenty of reason to stay local and hit the road this summer. The research also revealed the top 10 destinations for electric vehicle road trippers, with Norfolk and North East England ranking among the top five.

County Durham, the Kentish Coast and the Suffolk Coast also featured in the top 10, offering drivers a stress-free getaway with plenty of opportunities to recharge both their vehicle and themselves.

Confidence in the UK’s public charging infrastructure is also at an all-time high, with 81% of EV motorists surveyed saying they feel assured that the charging network can now support them on long-distance journeys.

Tom Hurst, UK Country Director at Fastned, said: “We believe the driver comes first, so we looked to uncover what the future of summer road trips looks like for UK motorists, including specifically EV drivers. From where people are heading to what makes a great staycation destination, we wanted to explore how travel habits are shifting gears and what’s powering the next generation of road trips.

“Across much of mainland Europe, there’s a well-known phenomenon called ‘Black Weekend’ or ‘Black Saturday’, the moment when millions of people hit the roads at the same time to head to their favourite beaches, coastlines and countryside spots for their summer getaway. Think ‘Black Friday’, but for summer travel.

“We were intrigued to find out whether Britain is starting to develop its own version and whether EV drivers are helping to drive a new era of summer travel.”

According to the research, the weekend of 7th August was identified by those polled as the UK’s peak summer getaway weekend, making it possibly the UK’s equivalent of Europe’s “Black Weekend” (or “Black Saturday”), a popular term used across Europe to describe the busiest summer travel period within the country. In fact, over the past five years, 56 per cent said they have consciously moved towards a lifestyle more traditionally associated with countries like Spain, France, Monaco and Italy.

Carried out through OnePoll, the UK Summer Travel research also found:

• Four in 10 people (40 per cent) now eat outdoors more frequently than they used to, while 26 per cent have adopted a slower pace of life.
• Around three in 10 (28 per cent) now take more time to enjoy and savour meals, and 37 per cent like spending more time outdoors and enjoying their surroundings.

Fastned and Vereniging Elektrische Rijders (VER) welcomed policymakers, local authorities, charge point operators, fleet leaders and industry experts to the inaugural Plugged In Café in London earlier this month.

Inspired by Fastned and VER’s successful EV Café events in the Netherlands, the first UK edition brought together voices from across the public and private sectors to explore how stronger partnerships can accelerate London’s transition to electric mobility.

Hosted at The Conduit in Covent Garden, the event created a new forum for collaboration, bringing together key stakeholders from across the EV ecosystem to exchange ideas, tackle shared challenges and help shape the future of electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Designing an EV city around real-world charging needs

The event featured three expert panel discussions exploring the biggest opportunities and barriers shaping London’s rapidly evolving EV charging landscape.

The opening session examined how charging infrastructure must adapt to serve an increasingly diverse range of users. Moderated by Ellen Hiep (VER), the panel brought together Olly Craughan (DPD UK), Tanya Sinclair (Electric Vehicles UK) and Judith Hayton (Transport for London).

From private motorists and commercial fleets to taxis and last-mile delivery operators, the discussion highlighted the vastly different charging needs across the transport network. Panellists agreed that a diverse range of users can only be served by a diverse range of charging solutions, with no single approach able to meet every need.

As London electrifies, on-street charging and ultra-rapid charging hubs will play a vital role in supporting those without access to home charging, while enabling businesses and fleets to transition to electric. Understanding real-world behaviour and the operational needs of different users will be essential when planning the charging infrastructure of the future.

Building the charging ecosystem

Next, panellists examined the wider charging ecosystem, exploring the building blocks needed to support the EV transition.

Moderated by Fastned, this panel brought together Eleanor Clark (Transport for London), John Colgan (Places for London) and Zak Bond (Clean Cities) to explore what it will take to deliver charging infrastructure at scale.

The discussion concluded that building a future-ready charging network is about far more than installing charge points. Grid capacity, strategic land availability, investment, digital technology and strong public-private partnerships were all identified as essential ingredients in creating a reliable, accessible and resilient charging ecosystem.

Unlocking London’s charging future

Rounding off the afternoon before guests continued the conversation over drinks and nibbles, the final panel, “Policy, Planning and Permits - How do we unlock London’s charging future?”, brought together Tom Hurst (Fastned), Jarrod Birch (Charge UK) and Mark Fletcher (London Councils), with Ellen Hiep returning to moderate a lively discussion on the policy and planning changes needed to accelerate London’s EV charging rollout.

The conversation highlighted the critical role local authorities can play in removing barriers to deployment through clear electrification strategies, consistent planning decisions and stronger collaboration with industry partners.

Collaboration is key

A recurring theme throughout the afternoon was that London’s charging ecosystem must be designed around the needs of an increasingly diverse mix of users, from private drivers and commercial fleets to taxis and public transport providers.

Commercial fleets were recognised as a defining force in the evolution of new mobility, with speakers highlighting the importance of charging infrastructure that reflects the operational realities of businesses transitioning to electric.

While reducing unnecessary car movements and enabling home charging remain important levers for decarbonisation, the discussion reinforced that accessible public charging, including on-street charging and ultra-rapid charging hubs, will be essential to ensuring no driver or business is left behind.

Speakers also highlighted the need for more opportunities for national government, local authorities and the private sector to work together, sharing requirements, addressing challenges and finding solutions to deliver charging infrastructure more quickly and equitably.

The inaugural Plugged In Café highlighted the value of bringing together experts from across government, transport and industry to share knowledge, address common challenges and identify practical solutions for the future of EV charging.

The Fastned and Places for London partnership has officially opened its first state-of-the-art ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging hub at Hatton Cross Underground station on Friday 12 June 2026, marking a major milestone for London’s green transport infrastructure. 

Launched by Seb Dance (Deputy Mayor for Transport), Mete Coban MBE (Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy), and Andy Lord (London’s Transport Commissioner), alongside Fastned Co-founder and CEO Michiel Langezaal and Fastned UK Director Tom Hurst, the event also featured a zero-emission capable black cab, ambulance, and TfL van, showcasing the growing range of electric fleet capability now available. To celebrate the official opening, the new Hatton Cross charging hub will offer five days of free charging, from Monday 15 June to Friday 19 June 2026. Drivers just need to turn up, authorise their charge with their normal payment method and then enjoy free charging on Fastned.

The new EV hub, part of work to deliver on the Mayor’s manifesto target of up to 40,000 charge points in London by 2030, is the first of 25 planned to be delivered across London by the partnership, has been designed with accessibility and comfort in mind. It includes extra-wide bays and two fully accessible charging spaces in line with the latest British Standards Institution guidance, alongside weather protection provided by Fastned’s signature yellow solar canopies. The hub also has CCTV coverage throughout the site and 24/7 multilingual customer support, ensuring a safe, easy and enjoyable experience for all users. 

Open 24/7 and powered entirely by renewable energy, the hub features 12 ultra-rapid (400kW) charging bays, capable of delivering up to 100 miles (around 160 kilometres) of range in just five minutes. It is strategically located within easy access to Heathrow Airport, the M25, M4 and A30, making it a convenient stop for airport commuters, residents, taxi and private hire drivers, and business fleets.  

Many drivers, particularly in London, depend on public charging, with the UK having around 2 million battery electric vehicles on the roads now, and around 40 per cent of UK households lacking off-street parking. Designed for vehicles of all sizes, from cars and taxis to vans and smaller commercial vehicles, the hub helps tackle London’s space constraints, providing a welcome option where home or depot charging is not available.

The capital leads the way in EV uptake nationally, with more than 175,000 battery electric cars and vans already registered in the capital. EV numbers on the road in London are projected to reach to over 1 million by 2030, making up to 36 per cent of London's car and van fleet. This hub contributes directly to 2030 forecasts for EV infrastructure and marks a tipping point for London as over half of the high-powered chargers needed by the end of the decade have now been delivered.

The partnership aims to make ultra-fast charging more accessible by creating a city-wide network of hubs which are thoughtfully designed for all users, with planning already in place for a flagship 36-bay location at Hanger Lane and an 8-bay hub at East Finchley Underground station car park.

Three other sites are within the planning process across Newham, Haringey, and Barking and Dagenham, with a further seven sites due to be submitted for borough review by the end of the year. Alongside accessible charging, every site will also deliver community benefits, with a share of revenue supporting local projects and climate initiatives. The partnership is also dedicated to tackling the growing “green skills” gap, providing apprenticeships, work experience placements, and employment opportunities to help upskill Londoners and secure the future of the city’s green transition.

Fastned and Places for London's Hanger Lane hub will feature a retail space and restroom facilities, offering essential amenities for drivers. Benches and a playground outside will help create a welcoming community space, giving families and local residents a place to pause while children can play safely as drivers recharge. Fastned's signature yellow solar canopies will provide shelter in inclement weather, alongside lighting and CCTV to ensure safety on site. 

With around 64 per cent of outer London households lacking access to off-street parking, many drivers rely on public charging infrastructure, particularly in urban areas. Fastned has designed the Hanger Lane hub, ensuring it meets the needs of local residents, commuters, visitors and commercial operators such as local businesses and taxi or private hire cars. The hub provides accessible charging for vehicles of all sizes, from cars and taxis to vans and smaller trucks, helping address the limited opportunities for private charging at homes or commercial depots due to London's space constraints. 

Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy Mete Coban said: "This new, rapid charging hub, the largest in London, will support hundreds of Londoners who have already made the transition to electric vehicles. 

"There are more than 27,900 public electric vehicle charge points in London - over a third of the UK's total charging network - and, working with partners like Fastned, we can continue to grow our network and support many more Londoners to switch to cleaner, greener vehicles." 

The hub will also provide a crucial solution for businesses transitioning to electric fleets, particularly those operating from the nearby Park Royal industrial estate, London's largest area of Strategic Industrial Land.

Our Travel Demand Survey in 2024 showed that most households in London, including 93 per cent in inner London and 64 per cent in outer London, do not have access to off-street parking in a driveway or garage London's EV transition.

The number of electric vehicles on the road in London is projected to rise to between Im to 1.4m by 2030, making up 34% to 49% of London's car and van fleet. All operating profits from recurring revenues raised by Places for London is returned to TfL as a dividend to reinvest into the transport network. 

Work has started on Places for London sites across London that are delivering 4,900 homes, and more than 1,700 homes have been completed, of which 58 per cent are affordable homes.

Located at Jarman Way, the site features eight ultra-rapid charging bays sheltered by Fastned’s signature yellow canopy. These high-power chargers are capable of delivering up to 400 kW, which could add as much as 200 miles (333 km) of range in just 10 minutes. Drivers can also enjoy a variety of local amenities, as the hub sits directly next to a new Burger King, with Tesco, Nando’s, McDonald's, and Lidl all within a short walk.

This reflects consistent and strengthening growth on the back of a once-again accelerating European EV market, with almost 9 million electric vehicles now registered in Fastned’s nine active markets. EV market share was up 16% year-on-year across Europe in January and February, with early data indicating significant further increases in March. 

Fastned opened 8 new stations on its network during Q1 2026 across Denmark, Italy, France and the United Kingdom, while 4 more stations were expanded or upgraded during the quarter. At the end of Q1 2026 the Fastned network extended to 414 fast charging stations across Europe.

Rising charging revenue and station economics

Fastned's annualised revenue per station of €387,000 in Q1 2026 (compared with €325,000 in Q1 2025) continues the company's efficiency trajectory, supported by organic growth in charging demand as the European EV fleet expands with strong momentum. Gross profit increased 63% year-on-year to €32.1m, reflecting an increase in the prices of e-credits.

The company also announced that Victor van Dijk has been appointed to a newly-created role of VP Strategy after serving as CFO of Fastned since 2019. This reflects the progression of the business; having crossed the €100 million annual revenue mark for the first time in 2025 (confirmed in Fastned's Annual Report 2025) and with a diversified, three-pillar funding structure now in place, Fastned is entering a new phase in which Victor will bring his finance perspective on shaping Fastned's long-term vision and capabilities, setting priorities for the organisation and continuing to develop the associated equity story.

Until the role is permanently filled, Remco Samuels will serve as Interim CFO of Fastned. Remco brings extensive finance and industry leadership experience, having led EVBox as CEO, and following several finance leadership positions at Engie. Remco also knows Fastned well, having been part of Fastned’s finance department for the last six months.

Bank financing becomes third pillar of funding

In January 2026, Fastned secured a €200 million green loan facility from a lending syndicate of ABN AMRO, CreditAgricole, ING, Invest-NL and Rabobank, marking the first time the company has established bank financing as a source of funding.

An initial €100 million has been committed to fund new charging stations in Belgium and Switzerland, with an option for a further €100 million to support expansion into other Fastned markets.

This facility adds a third pillar to Fastned's funding structure, alongside its retail bond programme and equity listing. Adding long‑term bank financing as a third pillar allows Fastned to further diversify its funding and increase flexibility in how growth is financed across Fastned’s international network.

The company also raised over €32m in the latest tranche of retail bonds, which closed in March 2026. This followed bond issues totalling over €100m in 2025 and €80m in 2024. Since 2017, Fastned has raised over €300 million to fund its expansion through its bond programme, supported by more than 10,000 individual investors. 

Fastned has now raised over €740 million in total funding, including retail bonds. Together, these three pillars of funding give Fastned one of the most resilient and diversified capital structures among European fast charging companies, reducing dependency on any single funding channel and providing long-term visibility for the company's growth plans. 

New in-country leadership for Denmark, France and Switzerland

In Q1 Fastned continued building its in-country teams with the appointment of three new Country Directors across the network. 

Jesper Krüger Søndergaard has taken the role in Denmark, Sarah Wodehouse is Fastned’s new leader in France, and Christine Zingg-Graf will lead the team in Switzerland.

These appointments reflect Fastned’s next step in Europe: accelerating in market execution and strengthening local decision-making to secure the locations and partnerships that will shape long term market positions in fast charging. 

German court rules in Fastned’s favour: EV charging is its own separate industry and locations must go out to tender

On 6 March 2026, the Oberlandesgericht Düsseldorf ruled in favour of Fastned in a procurement review case against Die Autobahn GmbH des Bundes. The ruling confirms that fast charging is its own unique industry, and access to motorway charging locations must be awarded through open and transparent tendering procedures - a principle Fastned has advocated and fought for since the company’s foundation. 

This principle, previously confirmed in the Netherlands, has now been reinforced at the highest level in Germany, showing how increasing market access in one country can influence progress across the wider EU. As demand for fast charging continues to grow, open and competitive access to prime highway locations remains a critical determinant of the quality of charging infrastructure available to European drivers. 

EV adoption accelerating in key markets

The shift away from fossil fuel cars in Europe is accelerating. In January and February 2026, battery-electric vehicles represented 19.6% of all new car sales across the EU, EFTA and UK - up 16% from  a year earlier. 

Over the same period, the combined market share of petrol and diesel cars fell from 37.5% to 30%. The market share gap between electric and fossil fuel car sales has narrowed from 20 percentage points to just 10.4 percentage points in a single year. 

Across the EU specifically, petrol car registrations fell by 23.3% year-on-year, with France recording a decline of 48.5%. Growth in battery-electric registrations was particularly strong in two of Fastned's key markets: France (+38.5% year-on-year) and Germany (+26.3%).

Energy price volatility driving EV momentum

Energy prices - and particularly prices at the petrol pump - rose sharply towards the end of Q1 2026 as a result of conflict in Iran and related supply issues, with petrol prices around Europe 15% higher in early April 2026 than they were in February 2026.  

While the situation is still evolving, these events are providing further momentum to the electric transition while highlighting the urgent need to decouple European mobility from imported fossil fuels, both for individual drivers and for Europe’s energy security and sovereignty. 

As a pure-play charging company delivering exclusively renewable electricity, Fastned’s exposure to the negative effects of this crisis is expected to be limited. While uncertainty and oil price volatility can be expected to continue in the short-to-medium term, Fastned expects that growing consumer familiarity with EVs, accelerated by the current oil price shock, will permanently expand the market for public fast charging.

Guidance for 2026 unchanged

Fastned reiterates its guidance for the full year 2026, as communicated in the company’s Q4 2025 Update: 

• 70-100 new stations operational by year end
• Revenues of €350,000 to €400,000 per station (full-year average), and
• Operational EBITDA margin of 35–40%.

This milestone reflects the continued expansion of Fastned's network and the sustained increase in demand for fast charging, alongside consistent growth in the number of fully electric cars on Europe’s roads, which now surpasses 10 million, with over 8.5 million in Fastned’s nine operational markets. 

Revenue, station economics, and costs
 

€100m+ boundary broken 

Revenue related to charging increased to €122.4 million: up 47% year-on-year (2024: €83.4m). In two years, Fastned has more than doubled its yearly charging revenue (2023: €60.5m). 

Operational EBITDA grew 34% to €43.6 million - demonstrating strong and improving unit economics as the network scales. This corresponds to an operational EBITDA margin of 36%, in line with the 2025 guidance range of 35-40%.

Gross profit related to charging increased by 41% to €96.2 million,  driven by strong volume growth coupled with higher gross profit margins per kWh. 

Revenue per station improved to €331,000  (2024: €270,000). As indicated in Fastned’s Q4 2025 update, this is in line with the guidance for 2025 of a full-year average of more than €325,000 per station per year. This demonstrates that existing stations are becoming more productive and increasingly profitable as the network scales.

Retail investor support

Over €110 million was raised to support expansion in 2025 through the company’s bond programme. Across three tranches, Fastned’s retail investor community raised €36.5 million (February), €34.7 million (June), and €39.1 million (November) to support expansion - with the latter being Fastned's most successful single bond issue to date. 

This funding from thousands of individual retail investors demonstrates confidence in the business model for EV fast charging and in Fastned's strategy and growth plans. Following a further round in early 2026, total outstanding retail bonds now exceed €301 million.

Scaling with discipline

Network operation costs were €52.5 million (+47% vs 2024), in line with network expansion and activity. Network expansion costs increased to €33.9 million (+48% vs 2024), reflecting continued investment in new stations and capacity. Underlying company EBITDA was €8.3 million, indicating a balance between improved operations and deliberate investment in expansion.

Expansion at scale

A European network: 9 countries and counting

Fastned’s mission is to accelerate the transition to e-mobility all over Europe. For the first time, more Fastned stations are now located outside the Netherlands (222 locations) than inside (184 locations). This represents the company’s transformation from a domestic company with international operations to a continental leader in fast charging.

At year-end 2025, Fastned operated 406 fast charging stations across nine countries: up from 346 stations across seven countries at the end of 2024.

New markets and milestones

• The company added 60 new operational stations in 2025 (vs. 50 in 2024).
• The company secured 94 new sites in its development pipeline for a year-end total of 663 secured locations  (including 406 operational stations) - nearly two-thirds of the locations required to achieve its target of 1000 stations.
• Fastned brought stations to two new countries: Italy (in February at Truck Park Brescia Est, on the busy A4 Brescia-Verona freight corridor) and Spain (October on the C-32 corridor south of Barcelona).
• The first Fastned station directly on Germany's Autobahn opened in July at Neufelder Heide-Süd).
• Milestones were hit across the network: Belgium and Germany both surpassed 50 operational stations, ending 2025 at 52 and 54 stations respectively. France reached 50 stations in July 2025, ending the year at 59.
   

Station upgrades and capacity expansion

As well as 60 new stations opening in 2025, 35 existing stations were expanded, upgraded or redeveloped, reflecting a strategy to increase density and utilisation at our highest-performing locations.

Retail, trucks, and flagships

In 2025 Fastned continued adding kiosks, shops and toilets to selected stations throughout the network. As the EV market matures, drivers increasingly need more than just reliable fast charging; they need a drink, good food to eat, and a restroom break during a long journey. Fastned will continue to develop its retail concept throughout 2026.

Heavy-duty vehicles account for approximately 25% of Europe's road transport emissions. To accelerate the transition for trucks too, Fastned has deployed 400 kW truck chargers with dedicated lanes for large heavy-duty vehicles at various stations across our network. 

These facilities came together in two new flagship stations in Gentbrugge, Belgium: each an all-electric service area operating with zero emissions, opened in September 2025. These are Fastned's largest stations to date, serving both sides of a busy highway and providing car and truck charging alongside a 350+ capacity restaurant, a self-service shop open 24/7, safe outdoor play area, and clean toilets and showers. 

Usage and impact

• Energy delivered across the network increased 30% year-on-year to 183.0 GWh.
• Charging sessions grew 26% to 6.8 million.
• Fastned powered 914.8 million electric kilometres and avoided 165.9 kilotonnes of CO₂ equivalent.
• Europe's EV fleet surpassed 10 million vehicles in 2025; registrations of new EVs rose nearly 30% year-on-year across the EU. 

Innovation, Technology & Advocacy

Addressing Europe's grid bottleneck

Grid capacity remains the single biggest constraint on fast-charging deployment across Europe and requires urgent attention to complete the transition to electric mobility. Fastned is contributing to solutions with Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) pilots, introduced at multiple stations in 2025 and into 2026. These BESS installations are designed to support high‑power charging where grid connections alone would not be sufficient, and to provide more flexibility and stability as demand grows with increased EV uptake.

In 2025 Fastned also piloted a new one megawatt-class charger (the Alpitronic HYC 1000) at Aalscholver in the Netherlands, learning more about how the next generation of EV infrastructure behaves in the field.

Large-scale charging deployment will require coordinated investment in electricity infrastructure at national and European level. As an industry leader whose business depends on grid availability, Fastned advocates at EU and national level for grid modernisation as critical to the transport transition.

Industry leadership: making the case for the transition

In 2025 Fastned strengthened its role as an influential force in European EV charging through multiple leadership and advocacy initiatives:

• ChargeUp Europe: CEO Michiel Langezaal was elected President of ChargeUp Europe and began his term in early 2025. He brings long-standing expertise and independent operator perspectives to the group, including in the European Commission's Strategic Automotive Dialogue meeting with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in March.
• ChargeLeague: Along with three other leading charging companies, Fastned co-founded ChargeLeague to align industry standards and accelerate sector development, with the aim of providing the simplest and most accessible experience for every EV driver in Europe.
• Green Industrial Grids Association (GIGA): Matt Ersin, Fastned Director of Government & Public Affairs, was elected as the first Chair of the newly-founded group GIGA, advocating for fundamental grid modernisation as a critical enabler of fast-charging growth.
• EU policy: European Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra visited Fastned's Gentbrugge station in 2025, reflecting fast charging's growing role in EU climate and industrial policy discussions. 

Today, Fastned, a leading European fast‑charging company, has secured up to €200 million in new green financing from ABN AMRO, CreditAgricole, ING, Invest-NL and Rabobank to accelerate the expansion of its network of fast charging stations across Europe.

This new green loan facility consists of an initial €100 million of committed capital to fund station rollout in Belgium and Switzerland over the next three years. 

In addition, there is an uncommitted accordion option of an extra €100 million for expansion to other countries. The facility will support the rollout of Fastned stations, expansions and capacity upgrades to existing locations (including further rollout of Fastned retail facilities) and the acquisition of new locations for development.

The finance structure is initially based on Belgium and Switzerland only, on a non-recourse basis to Fastned B.V. The tenor of the loan is 5 years with 3-year availability and an interest rate somewhat lower than the retail bonds. 

The facility marks the start of a funding platform that can be expanded internationally as well as within the existing countries, supporting the company’s growth ambitions in 2026 and beyond. By doing so it strengthens Fastned’s position as a leading European charging company.

Secure foundations for Fastned’s European network

This facility represents a third pillar of financing for Fastned, alongside its ongoing retail bond programme and its equity listing on Euronext Amsterdam. Adding long‑term bank financing as a third pillar allows Fastned to further diversify its funding. Gaining access to this deep and well-established debt market increases flexibility in how growth is financed across Fastned’s fast-growing international network. 

Since its founding in 2012, Fastned has raised over €740 million in total funding (including retail bonds), making it one of the best-funded charging companies in Europe. 

The transaction is supported by consistently high utilisation levels at Fastned stations and industry-leading financial performance (full details for 2025 will be published in Fastned’s Annual Report on 19 March 2026). Operational performance is driven by Fastned’s unique focus on high traffic locations only, where large stations can charge hundreds of cars per day with Fastned’s best-in-class charging concept. 

Fastned’s network now extends to over 400 charging stations across nine European countries, with charging-related revenue growth of over 40% year-on-year. Fastned’s recent Q4 Update reported 54.8 GWh of energy sold across more than 2 million charging sessions in Q4 2025; new records for the company, alongside the all-time quarterly high in revenue related to charging. 

Alongside global banks ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Coöperatieve Rabobank U.A., Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, ING Bank N.V. and Invest-NL Capital N.V., the transaction was supported by ING Debt & Capital Advisory acting as Fastned’s exclusive financial advisor. A&O Shearman acted as legal advisor to the borrower and Clifford Chance acted as legal advisor to the lenders.

The company delivered 54.8 GWh of energy to electric drivers over more than 2 million charging sessions, powering over 273m kilometres of emissions-free driving. These figures mark record quarterly highs for the company.

The company also raised €39 million through its most recent retail bond campaign - the third round in 2025. In total Fastned attracted approximately €110 million through its bond programme in 2025, compared to approximately €82 million raised in 2024 (also across three rounds).

Fastned opened 26 new charging stations during Q4 2025 with locations arriving in Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK, as well as the inauguration of the company’s first station in Spain. At the end of 2025 there were 406 Fastned stations open to drivers in nine countries across Europe.

Delivering on guidance for 2025 

Fastned set the following guidance for 2025:

• 400 to 425 stations operational by year end
• More than €325,000 revenues per station (full year average)
• 35% to 40% Operational EBITDA margin (full year average)

With 406 stations at year end and an approximate revenue per station of €335,000, Fastned has delivered on the first two elements of its guidance for 2025. For the third element, operational EBITDA, we reiterate our guidance for a margin of 35-40%; verified figures will be available in our Annual Report 2025, scheduled for publication on 19 March 2026. 

Outlook and guidance for 2026

Based on its secured pipeline and increased organisational capacity, Fastned sets its guidance to:

• 476 to 506 stations operational by the end of 2026 (70-100 new stations)
• Revenues of €350k-400k per station (full year average)
• 35-40% operational EBITDA

Fastned is on track towards its ambition of operating 1,000 stations by 2030, while continuing to grow revenue per station and operational EBITDA as utilisation increases and the fast charging market matures in line with rapidly growing EV sales.

Expansions and upgrades on the road to 1000 stations by 2030

In addition to new openings, Fastned significantly increased capacity at existing locations through expansions, repowering and higher-power upgrades. Alongside 26 new stations in Q4, 35 existing stations (in six countries) were expanded, redeveloped or upgraded. 

During the busy holiday season, occupancy and utilisation of our stations increased dramatically. These continuous upgrades and expansions enable Fastned to serve more drivers at peak times when the need is greatest, and ensure we maintain our premium driver experience even during periods of heavy traffic at our locations.

Fastned also strengthened its development pipeline and continued acquiring high-value locations at pace. At the end of 2025, the company had secured 663 locations for development, supporting Fastned’s long-term ambition to build 1,000 stations by 2030.

Record year driven by accelerating EV adoption

Fastned’s record Q4 and full-year results were driven by continued growth in the battery electric vehicle (BEV) fleet across its markets. In 2025, BEV registrations in Europe again grew strongly, with some markets ending the year with EV shares of new car sales around 35%.

With recent clarifications and amendments to the EU’s Roadmap to 2035 now completed, Fastned’s view is that the core direction of travel for European mobility has not changed, and policy has already done much of its job by catalysing scale. Economics is now driving the market: from lower battery costs to better total cost of ownership for drivers, the shift to electric mobility is now irreversible.

Around the organisation

Fastned inaugurated its first station in Spain, marking the company’s entry into its ninth operational market and extending the network into a key growth region in Southern Europe. The inauguration was attended by Spanish Minister of Industry Jordi Hereu alongside other local dignitaries and partners, with Fastned CEO Michiel Langezaal also attending.

• Both Belgium and Germany celebrated their 50th Fastned stations during Q4, deepening our networks and making electric driving easier and more convenient throughout these countries.
   
• In France, Fastned successfully won a tender for the country’s first all-electric service area, at Aire de Saint Yvi. Inspired by our flagship all-electric service area in Gentbrugge, Belgium, this station advances Fastned’s vision of highway service areas with fast charging, great facilities, and no fossil fuels anywhere. 
   
• Fastned has begun piloting the fastest EV charger in the Netherlands, with a new 1000kW charger installed in Aalscholver and available for use. This charger can deliver power at nearly 100 times the speed of ordinary on-street charging. This initial pilot will be used to gather data and evaluate suitability for further rollout across our network.

Fastned, a leading European fast charging company, has grown its network of charging stations to over 400 locations.

406 Fastned locations are now open to drivers across the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany, the UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Spain and Italy. 

During 2025, Fastned opened 60 new charging stations, including its first locations in both Italy and Spain. In July, Fastned celebrated the opening of its 50th charging station in France, while in December the company crossed the 50-station boundary in both Belgium and Germany. 

Beyond growing the network’s size, Fastned also expanded its station concept in 2025. The company showcased a new vision for an all-electric service area with a new flagship location in Gentbrugge, Belgium, in September 2025. 

The first Fastned location on the German Autobahn opened in July, while the company also opened its first locations specially designed to accommodate electric trucks. 

The unique design of Fastned’s ‘Solar Tree’ canopy, easy to see from the road and creating a distinctive and welcome atmosphere, was recognised with its nomination as a finalist at 2025 DesignEuropa Awards. Selected from among over a thousand submissions, the Solar Tree design aligns with Fastned’s mission to accelerate the transition to electric driving by making charging stations visible, accessible and attractive.

Fastned’s first station opened in Palmpol, the Netherlands, in 2013. The company celebrated its 100th charging station in June 2019, with the 200th opening in Germany in May 2022 and the 300th location arriving in the Netherlands in January 2024. The company intends to open a network of 1000 fast charging stations across Europe by 2030.

The Fastned hub near Callerton Parkway Metro station opened on 16th December 2025. Just one Metro stop from Newcastle Airport, it offers 12 drive-through bays under a full canopy, making it easy for drivers to pull in, charge, and get back on the road. 

The new North Moor Road, Sunderland hub opened on 22nd December 2025, featuring an initial six charging bays and Fastned's iconic yellow “wings”, creating a bright, welcoming spot for EV drivers. The hub also includes brand-new Costa Coffee and Greggs outlets, making it easy for drivers to grab a drink or snack while their car charges.

With the addition of these two hubs, Fastned now operates 13 sites across the North East, offering fast, reliable charging to more drivers than ever. The network has already supported more than 273,000 charging sessions since Fastned opened the UK’s first ultra-rapid hub at West Wear Street, Sunderland in 2019. This reinforces Fastned’s role in accelerating the region’s electric vehicle adoption.

The Newcastle and Sunderland hubs are designed to make EV driving easier for thousands of local residents, commuters, and visitors, providing reliable, renewable power exactly where it is needed.

The location also offers clean and comfortable toilets created with specialist partners ONE HUNDRED Restrooms as well as warm showers, outdoor picnic tables, and a family play area within a landscaped and nature-inspired environment designed for people, not for cars.

Our most sustainable stations so far 
Fastned Gentbrugge proves what is possible for the future of sustainable mobility. The entire site - over 8,000m2 across both sides of the highway - is fully electric (including the kitchen and retail area) with zero emissions during operations.

Components of both the charging area and the retail building can be easily disassembled and reused at the end of their lifecycle, and circular materials including biobased insulation, recycled concrete and crushed seashells have been used in the retail construction. 

A custom-built underground water treatment facility ensures the natural environment remains unaffected by stations operations, while a ‘green roof’ captures and reuses rainwater, some of which is used to flush the toilets. 

The entire site, previously a bare parking area, has been freshly landscaped to provide shelter from the highway, with greenery and newly-planted trees and flowers creating a peaceful space to rest during a long journey.

To celebrate the opening of this visionary rest area, Fastned is offering a free cup of coffee to all visitors to the station during the opening weekend of 19-21 September.

Electric freedom for Belgium and for Europe 
Fastned Gentbrugge brings Fastned to 47 charging stations in Belgium and a total network of over 380 stations across 9 countries so far.

London, UK 26 June 2025 - Today Fastned, the European fast-charging company rated the UK’s best medium sized EV charging network by Zap Map, opens a new electric vehicle charging hub with eight charging bays in Houghton-le-Spring. 

The site is located off Newbottle Street, A182 northbound towards Newcastle. This is a prime location for anyone travelling to and from Newcastle, Sunderland or Durham. It is conveniently located next to a new Tesco Superstore with a cafe, for a quick pitstop for EV drivers before heading on their way. 

Houghton-le-Spring is Fastned’s ninth charging hub in the north east of England. In 2019 Fastned opened the UK’s first ultra-rapid charging site in the centre of Sunderland and has since expanded its north east network from Whitley Bay to Newcastle, Washington and now Houghton-le-Spring.

Eight charging bays are supplied with 100% renewable energy, offering drivers up to 300 miles of range in 20 minutes. The launch means Fastned now has 35 hubs in the UK.

The station, which features an initial six charging bays powered by 100% renewable energy, offers up to 400kW of power – delivering up to 100 miles of charge in as little as 5 minutes. 

Located off the A47, the Freebridge hub is built in Fastned’s signature drive-thru format with overhead canopies, providing an easy, convenient and weather-protected charging experience which puts people first. This investment represents another step in Fastned’s mission to accelerate the transition to electric mobility in the UK and beyond. 

The Freebridge opening supports the ongoing need for a more robust and widely available ultra-rapid charging network across the country. Whilst EV adoption continues to rise, the charging infrastructure must keep pace – particularly with the UK Government’s 2030 deadline to end the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles fast approaching. 

Fastned’s latest station adds to its growing UK network, which now includes 34 operational hubs and more than 360 across Europe. Each station is powered by 100% renewable energy, supporting a cleaner, greener transport future.

The launch means Fastned now has 33 hubs in the UK. This is Fastned’s third charging hub in the west of Scotland and fifth in Scotland overall.

Fastned and Places for London have secured planning permission for a new EV charging hub at TfL’s Hatton Cross station car park, following approval by the London Borough of Hillingdon.

This is the first of an initial five hubs planned by the public/private joint venture between Places for London and Fastned, which will improve access to charging infrastructure for the growing number of EV drivers in London and across the UK.

London leads the way in EV uptake nationally, with around 193,000 plug-in electric cars and vans already registered in the capital. EV numbers on the road in London are projected to reach between 1-1.4million by 2030, making up to 49 per cent of London’s car and van fleet. This rising demand would mean Londoners need 40,000 to 60,000 chargers, including up to 4,000 rapids and this scale of infrastructure is needed to help reach the Mayor of London’s 2030 net zero carbon target.  

London has 21,600 charge points to date, which is around a third of all EV charging infrastructure across the country and more than any other UK region. The Fastned/Places for London joint venture will enable a faster expansion of charging hubs that meet the growing needs of drivers making the switch to EVs and the Mayor’s mission for a greener London.

The Hatton Cross hub will have 12 ultra-rapid charging bays, serving hundreds of car and van drivers a day. All 12 will be powered by 100 per cent certified renewable energy, giving drivers the confidence that the energy used is sustainably sourced and aligning with both the Mayor of London and Hillingdon’s aspirations to support the transition to cleaner vehicles within the capital.

The new EV charging hubs will be sheltered by Fastned’s yellow solar canopy, which is covered by CCTV, making charging comfortable and safe for everyone in all weather. Hub customers will have 24/7 customer support via app and phone, available in multiple languages. Toilet facilities will also be available for hub users.

Every hub delivered by the Fastned/Places for London joint venture will bring benefits to the local community, and a proportion of revenue from each of the first five hubs will go towards community projects. Significantly, the hubs delivered through the joint venture will be accessible; all bays will be extra wide, and two bays will be fully accessible as per the latest British Standards Institution's guidance on accessible charging infrastructure.   

The joint venture continues to seek ways to help push the industry forward through offering work experience placements, apprenticeships and employment. For example, the construction of the Hillingdon site will also provide opportunities for work experience in collaboration with London’s schools.  Broader economic opportunities will be realised by helping small to medium enterprises enter the market and upskilling more people to support London’s sustainable EV transition.

Fastned will open its second charging hub in Antrim later in March with a similar offering.

Fastned has invested over three million pounds in the purchase and development of the Banbridge and Antrim charging hubs, identifying Northern Ireland as a key growth area due to increasing demand from EV drivers.

Currently ultra-rapid charging accounts for just 4.5% of the country’s network which totals only 687 chargers. Fastned is on a mission to accelerate the electric transition in the UK and Europe and to provide more choice for NI’s almost 23,000 electric drivers.

Fastned can expand even further in the region if it becomes faster to connect to the power grid. But delays to rollout limit the charging options for existing EV drivers and reduce the confidence of other drivers in the EV transition. Fastned’s Banbridge charging hub is located just off the A1, south of Banbridge, at the entrance to The Boulevard.  Places for London - Transport for London's (TfL) property company - has selected Fastned, the award-winning European ultra-rapid charging company, as its preferred partner for its new joint venture (JV) to help develop several new electric vehicle (EV) ultra-rapid charging hubs across its estate.

 The joint venture, which will help support the Mayor of London's commitment to achieve Net Zero carbon by 2030, aims to deliver new dedicated off-street urban charging hubs that will be able to simultaneously charge multiple vehicles at high speeds. The sites will also help support placemaking in the local areas by including retail and other facilities, such as toilets on the larger sites where possible. Now the preferred bidder has been selected, Places for London is requesting approval from TfL’s Land and Property Committee to form the joint venture at the earliest opportunity. This is expected to occur later this year, with the first site delivered in 2026.

 The joint venture intends to be at the forefront of developments in accessibility and safety, with the new charging infrastructure looking to meet or exceed the Public Charge Point Regulations 2023 and deliver best practices from the British Standards Institution’s guidance on accessible charging infrastructure. Customer safety will also be prioritised, with all sites designed to provide clear lines of sight, high illuminance lighting and CCTV, as well as on-site presence where additional facilities are provided. These measures will make the infrastructure more accessible and inclusive and will provide a more positive experience for all customers.

 Fastned already operates one of London’s busiest ultra-rapid charging hubs in Greenwich, which offers electric drivers up to 300 miles of range in as little as 20 minutes. Voted best ultra-rapid charging network in the UK, the Netherlands, France and Belgium, Fastned already operates 25 charging hubs in the UK and more than 325 across Europe. Its network operates with high uptime due to its data-driven, in-house operations and maintenance teams. 24/7 customer support – available in multiple languages – helps customers experiencing any technical issues, while its recognisable solar canopies keep drivers safe and dry while charging. These canopies also make Fastned charging hubs easy to spot and safe to navigate to from the roadside, showing drivers what is available to them.

 Across London, there are 180,000 plug-in electric cars and vans already registered in the capital.* With around 21,600 charge points to date, London leads the way with electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with around a third of all EV charging infrastructure across the UK, more than any other UK region.** Working with Fastned, Places for London will establish a long-term delivery plan which will help ensure influence and control in the electric vehicle charging proposition on the TfL estate, while also opening up opportunities for wider collaboration with Places for London’s other joint ventures and strategic delivery partners. This flexible approach will also ensure that the electric vehicle proposition being delivered by Places for London can adapt over time in line with best practice for accessibility and charging speeds, as well as technological developments.

 In parallel with the procurement process, Places for London have been developing the pipeline of potential EV charging hub sites, to help ensure that the joint venture can start delivering charging hubs as quickly as possible. Early in the process, five initial locations, delivering around 50 bays in total across London, were highlighted to Fastned and other potential partners. Each site has the potential to deliver a minimum of six publicly accessible ultra-rapid charging bays, including at least one bay for those with accessibility needs, which will allow drivers to charge their vehicles in approximately half an hour. The first of the five previously announced sites is expected to start on site during 2025 and open to customers in 2026. Across the life of the joint venture, Places for London hopes to deliver at least 25 hubs across its estate, with the potential to increase this up to 65 hubs as market demand and opportunities arise.

 By creating a long-term joint venture, this opportunity will enable Places for London to directly shape the design and delivery of the hubs while generating long-term revenue, which can then be reinvested back into the transport network - further encouraging a shift to more sustainable forms of transport.

More than 1,200 EV charging points found across the capital are rapid or ultra-rapid charging points.*** Of these, approximately 300 have been delivered by TfL.

As part of the 2019 London Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Strategy, TfL's modelling predicted that if current demand continues, London will need around 4,000 rapid charge points by 2030. To help achieve this number, TfL is looking at how to bring more of its own land into use for EV charging bays and is working with other members of the Greater London Authority (GLA) family and borough councils to bring further sites across London.

Work has already started on sites across London for more than 4,300 homes and, as part of Places for London’s property programme, more than 1,000 homes have now been completed. This key milestone will be built on in the coming years as developments at Cockfosters, Kidbrooke, Wembley Park, Bollo Lane, Barkingside, Southall and Nine Elms complete, providing much needed new housing close to Tube stations.

The site is located just north of Darlington, less than a 2 minute drive off the A1 at the Aycliffe interchange which joins with the A167 on the outskirts of Newton Aycliffe. It will initially have the capacity to charge eight EVs at any one time, with space to expand to ten charging bays as demand increases. This will give existing, and future, EV drivers travelling to and from the North East and around County Durham, up to 300 miles of range in 20 minutes powered by 100% renewable energy. 

The launch means Fastned now has 25 hubs in the UK, and its second in County Durham, where the company worked with Durham County Council to identify the site. Fastned’s charging network spans the length and breadth of the county with many charging hubs in the region, including Barnard Castle, Sunderland, Washington and Newcastle. 

The new charging hub features Fastned’s illuminated yellow wings, which help EV drivers locate the site easily and show drivers who have not yet made the switch to electric that ultra-rapid charging is available to them. Fastned is supporting the EV transition in the north east and showing the rest of the UK what is possible.

Drivers charging at the Forrest Park hub will have access to a wide range of amenities, including KFC, SPAR and McDonald’s. Fastned’s reliable and easy-to-use ultra-rapid chargers, offering a range of payment methods, means drivers in County Durham and the north east can charge easily with confidence and get back on the road as quickly as possible.

The site, Fastned’s first in Essex, is based at Colchester Northern Gateway Leisure Park which is being developed by Turnstone Estates on behalf of Colchester City Council and Canada Life and sits adjacent to the A12.

Swindon, England, September 2023: Fastned, the European rapid charging company, has today opened its second ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging station in the South West of England. 

The site, in Swindon, Wiltshire is based at Barnfield Close, off the B4006, and situated next to a Starbucks, Subway and Travelodge. 

Four charging bays at the site will be fully operational from launch and are supplied by 100% renewable energy. The chargers at each bay are capable of adding up to 300 miles of range to fully-electric cars in 20 minutes. The site is capable of hosting up to ten charging bays in the future.

The launch means Fastned now has 17 stations in the UK, with two in the South West. The Melksham site, based at Commerce Way, just off the A350, opened earlier this week and features six charging bays.

St Albans, England, 4 July 2023: Fastned, the European rapid charging company, has opened its first ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging station in St Albans. 

Based at Griffiths Way Retail Park in the heart of St Albans, the new station has a number of facilities for customers to enjoy while they charge, ranging from a Costa Coffee, to B&Q, and Aldi stores. 

All six charging bays, which will be fully operational from launch, are supplied by 100% renewable energy and capable of adding up to 300 miles of range to fully-electric cars in 20 minutes. 

The launch is Fastned’s 15^th in the UK and 270th in Europe. The new station features Fastned’s recognisable “wing” lighting columns that help EV drivers to locate the site and navigate visually. Reliable and easy-to-use ultra-rapid chargers, as well as a range of payment methods, mean drivers can charge easily and with confidence and get back on the road as quickly as possible. 

Newcastle International Airport will soon be applying for planning permission for a brand new, ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging forecourt and convenient coffee drive-thru facility.

Based on Airport land at Callerton Parkway, which is just off the A696 and minutes from the A1, the super-fast charging facility will benefit a variety of customers including Airport passengers; local commercial drivers such as taxi drivers waiting to pick up Airport customers; commuters and visitors to the region. 

The station will comprise up to 12 charging bays, each of which is supplied by 100% renewable energy, and will be capable of adding up to 400 miles of range to fully-electric cars in 20 minutes.

The new stations will feature Fastned’s iconic, highly visible solar canopies that help EV drivers to locate the sites and stay dry while charging. Reliable and easy-to-use ultra-rapid chargers, as well as a range of payment methods, mean drivers can charge easily and with confidence, getting back on the road as quickly as possible.

Prior to submitting the planning application the Airport will be consulting with local residents who will be given the opportunity to provide feedback on the proposals. 

Martlesham, England, March 10 2023. The Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Therese Coffey MP, today officially opened European rapid charging company Fastned’s latest ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) charging station in Martlesham. Based off the A12 at Martlesham Park & Ride, the station will cater for commuters on their way to, through, and from Ipswich.

The station initially comprises six charging bays, each of which is supplied by 100% renewable energy, and is capable of adding up to 300 miles of range to fully-electric cars in 20 minutes. Fastned plans to open a further two charging bays later this summer. 

Martlesham Park & Ride has a number of facilities, including a terminal building with a heated waiting area, local information points and toilets/baby change facilities.

The launch is Fastned’s 14^th in the UK. The new station features a highly visible solar canopy that helps EV drivers to locate the site and stay dry while charging.
