Building London’s ultra-rapid charging network

Driving the change together

In 2024, we formed a joint venture with Places for London—the property company of London’s transport authority—to develop the city’s charging infrastructure. Together, we’re building a city-wide network of 25 ultra-rapid charging hubs to support London's transition to cleaner, greener transportation.

Top up in a moment, at any moment

Our hubs will be lined with high-speed chargers, each capable of powering a hundred miles in minutes with 100% renewable energy. This means you can reliably drive up to charge at any time of the day, with chargers that are up and running >99% of the time.

Accelerating London’s transition

Our partnership serves Londoners while supporting the city’s sustainability targets. We’ve been working on multiple hubs from the get-go and have plans for 25 locations to contribute to London’s goal of becoming a net-zero carbon city by 2030.

By developing an easy and accessible network—much like Transport for London (TfL) did with the London Underground—we’re making it easier for drivers to switch to electric.

People-centred places

We aren’t just building these hubs for cars: we’re creating places for people. At most of our locations, you will be able to have a quick coffee or toilet break while your vehicle charges dozens of miles per minute.

Our award-winning design focuses on people and place-making. Accessibility is at the heart of what we do. By creating safe, inclusive and welcoming spaces, we’re making electric mobility accessible to everyone in London.

Making London greener through yellow canopies

Each hub will have a stunning solar roof. The iconic canopies make it easier for electric and non-electric drivers alike to recognise the rapid development of London’s green charging infrastructure.

The canopies provide shelter from the elements and light up at night to create a safe and welcoming space for everyone to charge. Our 24/7 customer support and CCTV  add to the peace of mind we want people to feel.

Keep London thriving

Because electric vehicles don’t have a combustion engine, they don’t emit greenhouse gases while driving. Electric vehicles are also much quieter than petrol and diesel cars. This means more pleasant neighbourhoods with cleaner air and less pollution to create a better London.

Our charging hubs make electric driving even more sustainable by powering London’s cars, cabs and delivery with 100% certified green energy from the sun and the wind.

Say hello to our upcoming hubs

Hatton Cross

Located minutes from Heathrow Airport, this hub will launch with capacity for 12 vehicles to charge at once and comes complete with toilet facilities.

Hanger Lane

Hanger Lane will be London’s biggest charging hub with space for 36 vehicles to charge at any one time. We’re planning to open Hanger Lane with a shop, picnic area and toilet facilities.

Canning Town

Canning Town will be our first ultra-rapid charging hub in East London with 10 charging spots.

Tottenham Hale

Located in North London, our  Tottenham Hale hub will open with 8 ultra-rapid chargers.

Hillingdon

We’re also bringing our brand of ultra-rapid charging to the westernmost part of the city, enabling people to top up just before entering or leaving Greater London.

Bow North

Located close to Inner London’s A12 and A11 arteries, we’re developing an ultra-rapid charging hub in Bow North.

Get in touch

We’re looking to work with London’s boroughs, local councils and communities to develop ultra-rapid charging solutions tailored to each neighbourhood. If you’re interested in ultra-rapid charging in your area, contact our joint venture with Places for London.
