The Fastned station philosophy

In the car centred, utilitarian world of service stations, our architecture revolves around the human body and spirit. Fastned stations invite you to break through the superficiality of hasting and hustling, and instead, to be present. To sit, walk, breathe, listen, and take in the moment. Charging at a Fastned station should enrich your day with a deeper connection to place, community, and nature.

We believe that architecture has the power to transform an ordinary activity into an extraordinary experience. Our nature inspired stations aim to achieve just that for the everyday act of fast charging..

Inspired by nature

Nature provides the essential blueprint for our station design, the materials to build it and the landscapes to connect it with. From nature’s original tree design we borrowed a vertical stem and horizontal branches and then shaped them using real wood. And just like natural trees ours have a canopy, crowned with solar panelled leaves.

Each canopy is placed to frame the horizon in a specific way you’ve not experienced before. And to let you enjoy the beauty of these views safely, we intentionally place wooden benches facing the best bits. The sum of these nature inspired elements and connections elevates the Fastned station from a dot on a map to a place in its own right.
