Fastned begins new bonds issue

Fastned, a leading European fast-charging company, today begins a subscription for a new bond issue. This will be the third tranche of bonds issued by the company so far in 2026.

Investments will contribute to growing Fastned’s network of fast charging stations across new and existing markets, providing fast charging services to capitalise on the accelerated growth in EV sales during 2026.

Fastned’s fast charging network currently comprises over 440 stations in nine countries, with over 180 fast charging stations in the Netherlands and over 50 in Belgium, including the largest Fastned location to date at Gentbrugge and the newly opened location near the Euro Space Center in Wallonia. Fastned also has a stable development pipeline in each country, with 35 sites secured for future development in Belgium and 38 secured in the Netherlands (at end of H1 2026) as the company continues to scale.

Fastned’s H1 2026 Update of 13 August 2026 reported operational EBITDA more than doubling to €37.4 million from €17.9 million year-on-year, while underlying company EBITDA increased from €1.4 million to €13.7 million. The company reported a 38% increase in renewable energy delivered year-on-year, alongside 40% growth in revenue related to charging, across 4.1 million charging sessions. 28 new Fastned locations opened to drivers during H1 2026.

Fastned’s first bond issue of 2026 closed with a total €32.4 million raised, while the second issue raised €36.5 million. In 2025 investors contributed a combined total of over €110 million across three rounds of bonds. To date over €300 million has been invested in Fastned bonds by over 12,000 individuals; €45 million worth of bonds have been repaid by Fastned so far, and €81 million worth of bonds have been extended by investors prior to reaching maturity.
