Fastned strengthens country leadership for its next phase of European growth
Fastned, the European fast charging company, today announces three Country Director appointments effective this spring, strengthening leadership in France, Switzerland and Denmark as the company enters its next phase of growth in these markets. Sarah Wodehouse will lead France, Christine Zingg-Graf Switzerland and Jesper Krüger Soendergaard Denmark.
These appointments reflect Fastned’s next step in Europe: accelerating in market execution and strengthening local decision making to secure the locations and partnerships that will shape long term market positions in fast charging.
Scaling a connected European network: growth momentum and ambition
Fastned is rapidly scaling its European network and now operates over 400 fast charging stations across nine countries. The company’s long term ambition is to continue expanding across Europe towards a network of 1,000 large, scalable charging locations by 2030.
This growth in volume and footprint, also reflected in the recent 2025 Annual Report, has been delivered through a strategic and disciplined approach to securing crucial sites EV drivers need most, through a mix of competitive tenders and direct partnerships with landowners, developers and retailers. The new additions to the leadership team strengthen Fastned’s ability to turn ambition into delivery, prioritising the right corridors, building a robust pipeline and bringing high quality stations to market across three strategically important countries.

France: accelerating market leadership
France is already one of Fastned’s largest growth engines, with the company surpassing the 50 station milestone in 2025. Recent tender wins have further positioned Fastned at the forefront of France’s transition to fully electric service areas, combining high power chargers, high quality amenities and distinctive architecture to stand out from competitors and attract both EV drivers and real estate partners.
As part of this next phase, current Country Director France, Pierre Courgeon, will move into a new strategic role focused on reinforcing Fastned’s operational leadership, while continuing to support the development of the French business. Sarah Wodehouse will succeed him as Country Director France, marking the next step in Fastned’s strategy: moving from rapid rollout to sustained, market shaping scale.
A strategic transformation leader by background, with strong experience scaling operations and improving performance in complex mobility organisations, Sarah will strengthen local execution to accelerate delivery, deepen real estate partnerships and ensure capital is deployed where it drives the strongest long term economics.

Switzerland: strengthening a strategic market at the heart of Europe
Switzerland is a pivotal and fast evolving EV market in Fastned’s European network, both as a natural cross border corridor and as a country with a growing EV adoption. It connects EV drivers travelling between northern Europe, the Alps, Italy and the Mediterranean, while serving the everyday charging needs of Swiss drivers, from private car owners to heavy-duty vehicles. Its compact size makes it particularly well-suited for EV uptake, as shorter distances between urban agglomerations mean that a well-placed charging network can cover the entire country efficiently, lowering range anxiety and accelerating the transition to electric mobility.
Fastned has been active in Switzerland for several years and holds one of the major concession packages awarded under the federal highway programme by ASTRA, giving the company long term rights to develop a broad set of high potential sites along key national routes. Building on this foundation, Fastned is expanding its Swiss network by combining motorway locations with strategically chosen sites near major cities and travel hubs.
With Christine Zingg-Graf as Country Director, the company is ready to drive the next stage of growth in this strategic cross border market. An experienced transformation leader with a strong corporate finance background and deep industry exposure across infrastructure, energy and clean tech, Christine will scale delivery, deepen partnerships and ensure Fastned’s expansion remains high quality, financially disciplined and built for long term value.

Denmark: winning ground in a high potential market
Denmark is a strategically important market for Fastned’s next phase of European growth: a highly advanced EV country where the pace of infrastructure rollout is high and where the strongest networks are being shaped now. As a frontrunner in the green transition, Denmark combines a strong national commitment to wind and solar power with customers who expect sustainable, future proof solutions. Fastned aims to build a coherent Danish network centred on key transport corridors and the largest urban areas, prioritising locations that support a high quality customer experience and sustainable long term economics. By offering customer driven fast charging powered by green electricity from renewable sources, Fastned seeks to complement Denmark’s leadership in clean technologies with a charging experience that is fast, intuitive and reliable for everyday drivers.
To build on this momentum in a competitive and high paced market, Fastned is appointing Jesper Krüger Soendergaard as Country Director to lead the next phase of expansion. A senior commercial leader with deep experience in the energy sector and a strong track record of delivering profitable growth and business transformation across Scandinavia, Jesper will drive a multi track growth approach, combining selective tenders with privately sourced locations and partnerships, to further expand Fastned’s presence across the country.
Denmark is a market where speed matters, and where focus matters even more. Our next phase is about scaling in a way that is both fast and financially disciplined: prioritising the right corridors and cities, building strong partnerships, and growing a pipeline that gives clear visibility into how we fund and deliver expansion over the coming years.
