Fastned becomes B Corp certified
Fastned, one of Europe’s top 3 fast-charging companies, announced today that it has been B Corp certified by the non-profit organisation B Lab. Becoming certified requires a holistic review of a business’s social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
As a B Corp, we are part of a global community of businesses that meet high standards of governance, along with making a positive social and environmental impact. In addition to making electric driving reliable, convenient, and pleasant, Fastned has also always been about building something bigger. Through addressing positive change for the environment, society, and our employees, we believe we can create a better place to work and live.
B Corp certification addresses the entirety of a business’s operations and covers five key impact areas: Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, and Customers. The certification process is rigorous, with applicants required to reach a minimum score of 80 in the B Impact Assessment. Fastned achieved high marks in the Environment impact area, given its mission to accelerate the transition from fossil fuels. The company was also positively evaluated in the areas of mission-lock (from the very start, Fastned has chosen to pursue important social and ethical goals alongside its commitment to profit) and employee engagement.

Fastned customers have driven millions of kilometres, all using renewable energy and avoiding an average of 24 kg of CO₂ – the equivalent of almost 8 litres of petrol – every charging session. As a B Corp certified company, Fastned will continue its mission of improving the e-mobility sector.
