Fastned Depository Receipt Holder and Annual General Meeting 2025: Niels Korthals Altes joins FAST Board
Fastned, the European fast-charging company, held its Depository Receipt Holder Meeting and Annual General Meeting on Thursday 5 June 2025 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Each meeting adopted all decisions on its agenda.
The AGM confirmed that Niels Korthals Altes will join the Board of the FAST Foundation. This marks a return to Fastned for Niels; between 2013 and 2022 he was Head of Funding and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at the company, playing a key role in Fastned’s IPO.
In recent years Niels has been active as an impact investor and independent advisor. Earlier in his career, Niels was founder and director of Windcentrale B.V., director at Climate Neutral Group B.V., and founder and managing director of GreenSeat B.V.. Before that, he held positions at Unilever N.V. and at DB Group in New Zealand. Niels holds an MBA from the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
I am very happy to join the FAST Board and work closely with the company that has been an integral part of me since 2013. More than a decade ago I helped write the mission that I will now be guarding: build out a network of the fastest charging stations, for all types of EVs, at high traffic locations, that only deliver electricity from sun and wind. I still firmly believe that doing exactly that will provide the most value to EV drivers as well as certificate holders. In this new role, I look forward to working together with my colleague board members as well as the Supervisory Board and Management Board to help Fastned realise its mission.
The FAST Foundation (Fastned Administratie Stichting) owns 100% of shares in Fastned B.V. with the associated voting rights, which it exercises as a shareholder at the annual general meetings and any other extraordinary shareholders’ meetings. It was established in 2014 after Fastned changed its governance to ensure Fastned’s mission of accelerating the electric transition and creating freedom for EV drivers, to safeguard business continuity, and to represent the interests of all Depository Receipt Holders. More information can be found at Fastned’s Corporate Governance page.
A Fastned ‘Tekla’ (or Tech Lab) was also organised during the meetings, giving shareholders the opportunity to learn more about topics such as Fastned’s charging technology, commercial activities and energy sourcing, as well as recent developments such as the company’s role in founding the Spark Alliance.
